However, due to the British State Visit, there will be changes this year to parts of the programme, in regards to the parade. This is because the area around Trinity College, where we usually meet, will be cordoned off for security reasons, so we are not allowed to gather there. An Garda Síochána has agreed to the following route:
Meeting point: Outside the Dublin Tourist Office in Andrew street (across from O'Neill's Pub)
Meeting time: 11.00, with an 11.15 departure
We will head up Andrew street, and take left in to Wicklow street, follow Wicklow street to the end, then turn right in to Grafton street, up Grafton street and in to St. Stephen's Green. The parade will end at the band stand.
ANSA will not arrange a dinner this year, but have decided on a 17th May breakfast instead, which will be held at the Royal College of Surgeons at 9am, and estimated to finish around 10.30, in time for the parade. The price for non-members is set to €10, payable at the door.
However, in order to know how much food to order from the caterer, they will need to know the numbers attending. Please contact Hege Moen, President of ANSA Ireland, 085 770 4677, or by e-mail irland@ansa.no.
