‘Ireland, Norway and Iceland in the second half of the 13th century’

Professor Jon Vidar Sigurdson, Norway, will join forces with Dr. Anne Pedersen, Denmark, in a two-part lecture in the Royal Irish Academy on Thursday 22 May.

The current Library exhibition in the Royal Irish Academy focuses on the Battle of Clontarf, the thousandth anniversary of which occurs in April 2014. Based on their manuscript sources, the exhibition is accompanied by a free lunchtime lecture series.

On Thursday 22 May, they will present an especial programme, consisting of two lectures hosted respectively by the Embassies of Denmark and Norway in Ireland.
